Portfolio
Throughout my career, I’ve been responsible for building scalable marketing infrastructures that support growth. As an early marketing hire at Culture Amp and Torch, and the first marketing hire at Pyn, I also have experience working with teams and budgets of different sizes. I enjoy working collaboratively within and across teams and functions, and I believe this leads to better marketing outcomes.

My leadership is built on a foundational expertise of content marketing, and I know how to both own marketing strategy and execute marketing plans. So, while the examples below showcase individual asset execution, as a marketing leader I was also responsible for the strategy behind their creation.

If you’re planning to work with me on an individual asset, you can feel confident knowing that I will ensure that it supports your broader strategy. And if you want to work with me on strategy, you can be at ease knowing that I know what it takes to execute excellent assets. It’s a win-win for you.
Longform Content
Call them eBooks, research reports, lead magnets, whitepapers, or simply longform content, these are gated (or ungated, the jury is still out) content pieces that comprehensively cover a topic and are often the pillar of a content marketing strategy. They’re also generally “long” which I think is 2,000 words or more (the jury is really out on this). I’ve written over 30 pieces that fall into this category. Here are a few of my favorites and why they were successful.

The Brief Buyer’s Guide to Employee Experience Platforms (Pyn)
Yes, it’s longform content, but it’s also brief. During my competitive research for this project, I realized that buyer’s guides on EX platforms were around 40 pages. So to stand out, I distilled this guide into only the most useful information for a potential buyer.

How to build a diverse workplace with coaching and mentoring (Torch)
One of a set of three top of the funnel assets that launched the company's first content pillar-led nurture campaigns, and the second asset for the company on the topic of DEI. View it here.

How to manage company culture during mergers and acquisitions (Culture Amp)
This was created after the topic had been requested internally and was a clear pain point for Culture Amp’s customers. This was a fun one to write because it was a relatively new topic for me, and I dug into a lot of statistics, and worked with internal SMEs to put together something actionable for companies.
Case Studies and Sales Enablement
Throughout my career, working with customers has always been a highlight. These are the folks who are benefiting daily from your product, and if they agree to a case study, they are ready to tell the world about it! In addition to the case studies below, I’ve created one pagers for sales teams (though maybe they’re dead now?) prospect follow up email automations, and just generally worked to be an effective bridge between sales and marketing.

Narrative/Journalistic Writing
Looking for an article where the story really shines? Narrative or journalistic content is the name of the game. Often interview or data-heavy, this is content that would be as at home in Forbes or Quartz as it is on your company’s blog.

Employee journey mapping: How to get started (includes template)
This was a key term of interest for Pyn leading up to and following the launch of their free Employee Journey Designer tool. The challenge was to not only get ranking in search quickly, but to convert this traffic to users of the free tool.

Employee Engagement Survey Questions
22 employee engagement survey questions you should ask (Updated 2023) | Culture Amp
During Culture Amp’s early years of growth, I helped build the foundation of their search-optimized content. One of these core pieces was “Employee Engagement Survey Questions” which consistently ranks in the top three SERP to this day. This positioned Culture Amp as the leader in science-based employee engagement survey questions and gave prospects an inside look at the methodology behind our surveys.

Workplace Jokes
100+ funny jokes to share with coworkers (Updated 2023) | Culture Amp
Sometimes you know an SEO piece is going to get great traffic, but it’s not likely to convert visitors. And sometimes, that’s okay. Part of how I was able to achieve rankings for other, more product-focused keywords is by publishing much more top of the funnel work/employee related content, like this piece on workplace jokes. And yes, all of these jokes really did come from Culture Amp employees. It was so much fun to collaborate with the team, and everyone got to share in the success of seeing their jokes ranking high on the internet.

Leadership Styles Series
To help improve the backlink profile (a determinant of search ranking) of Torch.io I worked with a freelance writer, Sophia Lee, to create a series of articles about different leadership styles. We then created a main article, 10 leadership styles and their pros and cons, that linked out to each page. These are five of the site’s most important pages based on Page Authority as calculated by Moz.

Webinars
I’ve organized 40+ successful webinars throughout my career, so I can seamlessly integrate with your team and ensure your events run smoothly and achieve their goals. Whether you’re looking to host a webinar for top of funnel thought leadership, or you’re looking to focus on your product, I can help you create a unique and effective event.
Expert Panel: Exploring Employee Journey Mapping
This webinar kicked off the pre-launch of Pyn’s free Employee Journey Mapping product. It helped the company position itself as a thought leader on the topic, as well as provided educational material for this new HR process. I repurposed content from this webinar into a series of blog posts that helped the company rank for “employee journey mapping.”

Inclusive Communication in Action: Lessons from Industry Experts
For two years, we released an annual campaign at Pyn about inclusive workplace communication, based on the expertise and research from our VP of People, Stacey Nordwall. This report and webinar was one of the biggest drivers of new leads for the company.
Email Marketing
I am a huge proponent of email marketing. If your audience is allowing you space in their inner email sanctum, that’s a gift. It’s also an undoubtedly crowded space, so effective emails need to stand out.
The People Geekly - I took over Culture Amp’s popular weekly newsletter and helped it grow to over 22,000 subscribers through a mix of timely HR news and Culture Amp exclusive content.
At Pyn I managed the newsletter through multiple iterations, and oversaw all one-off promotional emails, nurture emails, and partnered with Customer Success on customer marketing emails.
